Unnecessary 90 degree turns in sewer pipe?

I don't understand why this was put in this way. I think it will pass inspection, but it seems obviously better to use two 45s as i put in the picture below. what am i missing?

Sure the 45s are better a real plumber avoids 90s like those you pointed out no ones perfect it will work that way but not the way I'd do it
