I have 2 one inch copper pipes hanging horizontally at my ceiling. They are held by strut clamps attached to uni-strut for about 30 feet across the ceiling. The uni-strut bars (8 inches wide) are also only about 6 feet apart. Some of the uni-strut itself has came unattached to the ceiling do to the weight of the pipes. The ceiling is drywall and the uni-strut was fastened with plastic threaded drywall anchors which are no good due to the anchor hole being larger now. The pipes now have a significant bow to them due to the uni-struts in the middle coming all the way off the ceiling. I was wondering if it is okay to reattach the uni-strut without it causing harm to the pipes already bowing in any way and if so what is a better anchoring system?(...anything better than toggle bolts?)
