I have a tub which i recently snaked through the overflow tube, now when i put the trip lever stopper back down - the water drain won't plug. I have tried to adjust it many ways, i hear it hit the bottom of the T, i've greased it as well, for some reason it just wont' seal... any tips?

Is it possible its not hitting the bottom and its just stuck on something else? how far off the bottom should it be? etc

The bucket should drop down all the way. This one has an adjustable linkage.
Sometimes when it get dropped back in, it can hang up a bit. Make sure it's all hanging correctly.
