Tub spout setscrew poked hole in copper stub

Hi all - I have a tub/shower where the tub spout/diverter setscrew was tightened too much and put a pinhole in the copper stub. Anyone have a recommendation on the best way to repair this? Thanks in advance!

Cut it, sweat a copper X mip on. Then get a threaded spout. Can be done even with a fiberglass surround.
