I replaced a tub and am trying to get the drain to stop leaking. Everything lines up except the shoe waste has about 1/4" on the long part of the tub that doesn't meet the tub the other side is perfect. I was told to put two rubber washers together with silicone and that didn't work. I've assembled two different drains and that didn't work. I thought maybe the rest of the drain from the overflow was out of alignment, but that's not the problem either. It's not touching the tub anywhere that might throw it off. Any suggestions on what I've done wrong?
