Tub Drain Options

I just had my lead pipes replaced in my upstairs bath with PVC. The plumber removed the existing tub drain and replaced it with this and used a removable ptrap. There is access to the trap but this makes me uncomfortable. With the position of the tub's drain to the joist and a duct just on the other side, a drain with the trap directly underneath is required.

Is the a glue-able p-trap available for compact spaces such as this ?

Is there a brass overflow / drain combination that would work in such a tight space?

A brass drain and overflow would be the same slip joint type of connection as this, and would need to remain accessible for the same reason as this trap.

Yes there are solvent weld tub drain and overflow assemblies available.
