We are in the process of finishing the rough plumbing of a 2nd floor bathroom remodel, and found that running two 2" branch drains to the 4" horizontal main drain would be a cleaner layout than trying to run one combined 2" branch to the 4" horizontal main drain. Is there any good reason, functional or otherwise, that we would not want to have two branch feeds to the 4" main?

Plan "A" original planned drain layout, one combined 2" branch feed...

Plan "B", two 2" branch feeds...

Note: the pipes in red are vertical vents.

I think this is one of those cases when things looked good on paper, but then when you go to implement in the real world you find it works better another way.
