I've been searching for a bit and Google lead me here. Could anyone help me identify this valve stem? The house was built in 56... The whole shower is going to be replaced down the road just trying to stop the leak for the time being.

Sometimes they are easy to identify by removing the stem. Clean the stem up and lay it next to a ruler so we can determine the length etc.
