We had a franklin electric pump at about 450', with a pumptec 5800020116 to protect it. The well pump was replaced about a year ago with a different mfg of approximately equivalent rating, and in a recent no-water condition (lots of water usage during relative visit), the pumptec did not trip. I suspect that the newer pump's no-load (out of water) current draw is higher.

Does anyone know if the pumptec 5800020116 can be adjusted for a different trip point? I note that next to the timeout adjustment, there's a small trim potentiometer, but am reluctant to adjust it without understanding what it does (silly me).

I do NOT have a manual for this either.

Thanks!
