Great forum! Tried reading old posts but didn't find my exact situation. We're having a contractor build a new permitted master bed/bath addition in CA. Raised perimeter foundation. The bathroom plan has a Toto wall-hung toilet on an exterior wall. Plans are for 2x4 framing, not 2x6. Any issues installing the WT154 tank/carrier there? Not particularly worried about freezing pipes, but wondering about the waste line/venting since it'll be right on top of the foundation wall. My contractor doesn't have experience with these. Thanks!

I'm surprised that you can get away with a 2x4" stud wall with the minimum insulation requirements today. Maybe in the zone you are in, the required minimum is achievable.

I think it would depend somewhat on how much height you had before the foundation wall...the pipe would need to make greater than a 90-degree bend to clear a foundation wall in what might be a short height. Plus, there'd be literally no place for insulation in that part of the wall, which could be problematic. Even a 2x6 wall would be problematic as an exterior one.

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
