We bought an Ultramax II 1.28 based on Terry's recommendation and we like it.

We may replace two other toilets in our house with Ultramax IIs and we are looking at the 1.0 GPF model in addition to the 1.28.

Are the parts for the 1.0 much harder to find? From a quick internet search it seems like the 1.28 parts are a lot easier to get.

Sorry if this has been asked before - I couldn't find it when searching the forum.

Thanks.

The 1.0 flush valve is THU498 and the handle is THU476-CP for the right hand chrome plate handle. I don't see it listed for sale yet.

THU475 for ten seals

Rotate and pull up on the flush tower to remove it. (see Ill. 3).

Remove the grey rubber seal gasket and rinse under running water to clean. (see Ill. 4)
Place the gasket back on the flush tower.
Align and place the flush tower into housing and gently press to snap and to lock into place

Thanks Terry.

Maybe it’s new and parts are not available yet?

Also this is probably a dumb question but how does the handle actuate the flush valve on the 1.0?

On the 1.28 there is the traditional lever and chain but the 1.0 is different.

Thanks again for the help.

Is the performance of the 1.0 GPF same or on par with 1.28 GPF version? I will be in the market soon for another Toto. Thanks

Performance between the 1G and the 1.28 are pretty similar. If you want more water on the flush you can also hold the handle just a bit longer to prevent the tower from dropping down so quickly.
