Installing the floor adapter first.

This unit takes it's own shutoff.

Thanks for the pictures of the 550H install. They are very helpful. I am about to a 550H install myself and will be relocating the water supply in the wall. I am considering replacing the TOTO supplied shutoff with a 1/2" ball valve as it would simplify the installation.

I am assuming by using a 1/2" ball valve it will not restrict water flow. Would love to get your thoughts.

NO.

Use the supplied valve. This is not where you start hacking things. The toilet comes with the valve it "must" have.

It used different threading.

It used different threading.

On the threaded connection between the valve and the fitting that splits the water supply to toilet and the washlet, is there a washer supplied or did you use teflon tape?

The Junction Valve Assembly comes with a fiber washer for connecting to the shutoff.
No tape on the joint. The only place you might use tape or thread sealant would be on the threaded conection for the water supply to the shutoff.
The other connections use only the fiber washers. Keep it clean.

TOTO Neorest 550H in Redmond WA

When they give the rough measurements, they mean it. This rough was 13" and not the standard 12". The supply was 7" to the left of center, not the 4-1/2" they wanted, and a bit low.

There is hardly any give in the larger hose.

I picked up a split ring white escutcheon and replaced the polished brass.
