Considering replacing our old toilet with a Toto. Since they use a non-standard 3 inch flapper I was wondering how easy it is to find replacement flappers and how often they might need replacing.

They're warranteed for 5 years, but depending on your water, they may not last that long. Many plumbing stores, especially those that carry Toto carry them. They're available on the internet. I've not seen them at the big box stores, but am told some of them carry them. You don't want one sitting around forever, either, as the rubber ages in the package, too (not as fast!).
