In my state (Virginia), I am allowed to buy MS776124CEFG (the 1.28 gpf model) or MS776124CSFG (the 1.6 gpf) model. The CSFG/1.6 gpf model costs a little more, but I really want to know which model works best at removing waste.

I've read so many threads trying to figure this out, my head spins. I got the impression that one of them had holes under the rim where the water comes from, but both are rimless so that doesn't make sense. Both have the tornado flush and Cefiontect.

Maybe it's a tie?

Thanks

you can look up test results at MaP toilet testing https://map-testing.com/
there is nothing special about Toto. They once were a great brand, but that is the past. In fact their insides have more expensive replacement parts. I prefer basic fluidmaster ballcock found in American Standard Cadet 3

FWIW, I replaced an old Kohler with the 1.6 gpf model early this year. The difference is really night vs. day, the new unit is Toto-lly excellent at waste removal and practically self-cleaning. The only caveat (I think this applies to both models) is the underside of the seat is difficult to clean.

It's hard for me to see how the 1.28 gpf model could be better than the 1.6. Almost as good, maybe. But better, I doubt it.

I have the 1.28 gpf model. It's amazing at flushing down large objects, but doesn't clear out the water, so I definitely recommend the 1.6 gpf model. The 1.28 gpf model only ever takes one flush to get large stuff down, but requires two flushes to get clear water after a bowel movement.
