The toilet is the 1.0g Drake II CST454 (though tank says 453U)..either way the hole is 3".
Worked great for years, but now there a cracked part in the tower which gets stuck every 10 flushes or so.
No problem, I though: I'l just order a new tower!
The toilet shipped with the flush tower THU467, so I went looking for that.
Nope. THU467 now discontinued.
It was replaced with THU456R-A, which is ALSO discontinued??? Having trouble finding it.
The TOTO parts website offers only THU500S "universal" flapper valve. WTF?
My question is, if we have to change out to flapper valve, what are all the other parts I need, because I clearly need more stuff. There is no fill tube, nothing to clip the flapper to, and there is no metal arm coming off the flush handle to attach a chain to.
Can someone tell me how to find out? Who do I ask? I hate to call in a house visit real plumber for what I should be able to do myself IF I know what parts are needed.
