I found this forum while searching for an issue I've been having with a new Toto Carlyle II.....hoping you can offer some insight.
here's is what I've been dealing with:
- brand new bathroom reno (full gut and rebuild) replaced 15 year old Toto one piece with new Carlyle II
- flush it.....it fills and pump shuts off no problem....but then it's followed by a dripping echo sound for about 15 seconds....sounds like the toilet is dripping on the floor from within the bottom part of the toilet
- pour anywhere from 200-800 ml of water into the full bowl (to emulate using it) and the same thing happens....15 seconds of dripping echo sound
- contact Toto and they say 1st step is to replace adapter.....we do that and does not correct issue
- Toto then replaces toilet with a brand new one.....not as bad, but condition still exists
and when he arrived, the toilet would not make the sound....tried for an hour and nothing......so we agreed to just leave it
2 days later....the sound is back
so....I have a few questions and hoping you can help
- have any of you experienced this issue?
- did you insulate the open back section of the toilet?
- what did you use?
- did it resolve the issue?
thank you
