Toilet Lead Bend Replacement

I gutted my bathroom. My old toilet has a PVC to Lead bend. Can I just cut out the PVC to Lead bend and install an all PVC closet bend ? Thanks

Ok that's just weird. Why did they leave the lead in place?
Yes, cutting that out is a good idea.

I had a local plumber rough in my bathroom around 20 years ago. I guess he was old school and liked using lead bends. I am looking to change it out because the old floor was a mud job the new floor will be Kerdi Ditra. Big height difference. I don't plan on changing the toilet location. So if I just cut the PVC pipe install a PVC coupler and the PVC closet bend I should be good to go? Back breaking work getting the old floor out.
