Hi all: installer finished the tile and now I’m stuck with my toilet flange sitting approx 1 1 /2” above the finished floor. See pics.
I was thinking of cutting the waste pipe level with the new tile and filling up the area around the pipe with cement to try to raise and level it to same height as the tile. I was going to use an Oatey twist and set open replacement flange which would hopefully sit just above the tiles. Is there an easier way to fix the flange issue dso my toilet install isn’t a nightmare?? Thanks in advance.

No pix. I think you are saying the toilet flange is sitting high of the floor. 1.5 inches is a lot high. Are you sure the existing closet flange is actually glued in? Maybe it was just put unglued on/in the pipe as a temporary plug.

Are you saying there is a big gap around the pipe, and the screws would not have anything to screw into?

Try again with the picture. Take any rag out before shooting the picture.

Maybe hold the camera looking down at about a 45 degree angle.
