Toilet was crooked pulled when renovating bath, everything worked fine. Flange is glued to the outside of the pipe and they set it to use the small slots instead of the long slots. looking for suggestions on how to get the toilet straight, didn't want to cut the pipe. Is there a "fix" without cutting the flange off of the pipe.
I tried attaching pics, don't know what I'm doing wrong.

You could consider a Danco Hydroseat over the top.

Maybe a repair ring over the top could hold your closet bolts if the flange is low enough. Is that flange all plastic, or does it have a metal ring?

And you could consider cutting outside the pipe with a big hole saw, and then gluing on an inside closet flange that has a stainless steel ring.

If that is a 4x3 flange that can go inside a 4 inch pipe or outside a 3 inch pipe, you could cut enough away to glue on a 4 inch spigot close flange. For that you would need to make clearance.

So various possibilities.

To upload a photo, 900 pixels max and 200KB size or less. If you take a picture, take the rag/plug out first. Put the rag/plug back after you take the picture.

I took beautiful pics with no rag plug I'll keep trying to post some. Don't know how to reduce pixels or size.

If you use Windows, Paint will do that.

One picture would probably tell the story. Maybe use one wide enough to tell the story. About 45 degrees off of the vertical often works well.

Did you notice my question in #2?

That's interesting, I click on the link and it's all there. I've looked online at the Danco Hydroseat will look at Lowes when I go there. It looks like the Hydoseat seals to the flange with a wax ring and then the rubber part seals to the toilet. I have used a sealing ring like that before on another install where it had wax inside of the rubber, that worked well it was a Danco.

Yes, that is how Hydroseat works. It has its own closet bolts built in, so you would carefully align before screwing down. One advantage is that you don't have to pre-position shims as you should do when using wax. You can pull the toilet later and replace without needing new wax.

You can hold Hydroseat down with screws thru the legs or screws farther in.

If you wanted to try one of the other methods I listed, you could cut the flange part off with a 3.5 to 3.75 inch hole saw. One method would be the "And you could consider cutting outside the pipe with a big hole saw, and then gluing on an inside closet flange that has a stainless steel ring." But then you would maybe also need to use a 4.75 hole saw to clear the space for the outside flange to go over the remnants of the original flange.

There is a technique to hold the blade in position. Cut a hole in a board. Securely center the hole over the flange. Cut the PVC to floor level through the hole in the board.

If you will actually try this, solicit discussion on whether 3.5 or 3.75 is the right hole saw size. The nominal size of the saw is the OD of the saw. I have not done this, and if you are going to do it, let's think it thru.

I've looked at how to cut if I go that way. I could cut under the flange with an oscillating cutter all around the pipe and then go to an inside the pipe flange. I have time bathroom is gutted and sheetrock just installed. Lowes and HD are 25 mi. so next trip I'll look at what they have before I cut anything. I'm leaning towards the fast, fun and easy Danco flange. Have to pick up a toilet also.
I appreciate the ideas.

If you don't have to cut thru ceramic (a bit hard to drill) or porcelain (very hard to drill) to pass the screws, it should go pretty easily.

Went to Lowes today and picked up a Danco hydroseat and an Oatey stainless ring. Both look like they will work with no problem. I'll take a closer look when it's time to set the toilet, the stainless ring will take a little trimming of the flange with a Dermel. Rather use either one of these instead of cutting off the flange.
