Hey guys!

Need advice on a bathroom remodel where I removed cement board and tile with plans to install ditra and new tile over subfloor. Does this flange need to be adjusted? If so advice on how please!

I'll be installing a toto drake if that matters.

The top of the flange currently sits 1 1/4 inches off the subfloor. Also the existing flange appears to be female in nature, floor waste pipe slides inside it.

Thank you!

The flange should rest on the finished floor. So if you use the right thickness of underlayment or cement board or whatever your using you should build it up to the height that corresponds to that gauge.

Off of the subfloor in which direction?

How about a photo?

So I ended up taking the 4 screws out and realized there were 4 short segments of pipe elevating the flange. I took them out and there is enough give to lower the flange down a bit.

My plan is to lay the tile around and under the flange and then secure the flange down on top of the tile.

Hopefully this goes to plan.
