Toilet drips into waste pipe all day. One tiny drip every twenty seconds or so. No leaks.

I have a Toto Drake st743. I noticed my bowl wasn't as full as it should be so I changed the gasket cap on the fill valve. The water now reaches the level in the bowl it should, but then it goes down about an inch and stays. I've read different reasons for this on here. It never completely empties or gets low enough that it can't be used, nothing like that. I presume it's just leveling off?

But on to the real question, which I presume is unrelated??

I was in my basement and heard a drip every twenty seconds or so into the waste pipe, I don't believe it ever stops after a flush. No leaks into subfloor, no water around toilet. I changed the silicone ring on the flush valve tower thing. I also took everything apart and cleaned it all off, incase of sediment or hard water.

No luck. Still a tiny drip into the PVC elbow under the bowl. It doesn't run constantly, it doesn't empty, the tank doesn't go down and I see no water dripping into the bowl sporadically. I'm at a loss and have read many different reasons for this including a bad wax ring and a crack in the p trap of the toilet. Any help or advice is appreciated. Thank you

Sounds like the Douglas valve has a tiny opening that does not seal properly

Just to confirm, the bowl is the part below the seat. Your picture shows the inside of the tank.

It could be that your water in the tank is traveling up that clip by capillary action. Adjust the water level in the tank down maybe 3/8 inch.

Right, I can't adjust the water on this model without removing the fill valve and adjusting the length. There's no little screw
