Hi Terry and all. I have a rock well, and tiny pieces of rock keep making their way into the fill valve and causing the toilet water to keep running. I can take the top off of the fill valve and dig/flush out the rocks and it solves the problem, but it keeps happening again eventually. Can I put a small screen in the water line leading up to the toilet? The pvc pipe is very small, 1/4" Will this mess up anything or stop up the pipe? Thanks

I would install a water filter on the main line feeding the house. If your getting the rocks in the toilet there in the rest of the system also.
