I'm a tile novice. We are tiling the walls on our shower (previously, was cultured marble). I just want plain white tiles. I looked at the local big box store, and the white ceramic tile they stock is by American Olean. the spec says 'non-vitreous', but the guy at the store said it would be fine for a shower because it has a glaze on it. Is this correct? Does non-vitreous apply just to the tile material itself, and the glaze seals it?
Thanks,
Paddy
