Thread Sealant inside pressure tank connection?? Is this normal??

I just received this tank today. It is new. I've never installed a tank before. I was about to install the tee and noticed thread sealant on the inside of the fitting. Should I worry about this? It dosen't seem OK, but I have no idea. I intend to call Amtrol tomorrow morning but thought I'd come here first to get some professional perspective. Thanks, Clay in Ivoryton, CT
