Tee off water entrance before manifold

My water main supply comes up into my kitchen through the slab and takes a 90 to go into the utility room where the manifold is.
Instead of supplying the kitchen sink with a home run from the manifold I’d like to install a 3/4 x 3/4 x 1/2 tee at the location of the 90 in the kitchen and supply my sink directly from there.
Is there any issue with teeing off the supply at the entrance, or is it better practice to install a devoted homerun to the sink from the manifold?
