All,

I'm refreshing our water softener system and I wanted to double check on the tank order. Right now it's setup as follows:
Well Water - pH neutralizer - iron removal - resin tank - house supply.

We have a heavy concentration of iron in the water so I'm wondering if it's correct to have the pH neutrilizer before the iron filter?

Thanks

Yours is in the correct order.

Iron reduction filters work most effectively when the water pH is above 7.0.

Thank you I came on here looking for this answer. I'm looking at a new system as I have very high iron levels as well. When my water was just tested the pH should as being right at 7. I've had people tell me thats good and other people say it should be at least 7.5 to most effectively remove iron.
