These units control P/S injection pump based on outdoor temperature and normally servo off a supply temperature sensor.

$$ saving ?

Could 1 of these units be used to control 2 very similar slab zones, with the supply sensor placed on a common return?

1 P/S injection pump suppling 2 zone valves in parallel, each providing flow to it's P/S continuous circulation pump, common return.

If 1 or both of the 2 parallel zone valves are open (each is controlled by its own thermostats heat call), a sensor on their common return pipe, should work just as well as a sensor would on the supply, only be about 10*F cooler. ?

The Taco PC705-2 feedback servo would be controlling the injection pumps speed, looking at the return temperature instead of the supply temperature.
