Supply lines for roman style tub faucet?

I use 1/2" PEX for those. That gives pretty good flow.

Bringing the supply pipes closer (like in Terry's picture or by extending the copper pipes) is much better than using 5' long connectors.

The tub sits on a 8 inch platform which sits on concrete. Tub drops in a Fibre glass surround. There is no access to the faucet. Just a small access hatch to connect drain and supplies to the cr valves.
