Hello all.
We bought a house a year ago and have had some trouble since with our sump pump.
Background: 1950 built. Addition put onto the house 15 years ago.
Sump pump runs very often. I sometimes hear it go off multiple times every hour, I would say every 20 minutes or so.

We recently discovered the the buried drain in the front yard, near our sidewalk was clogged up by tree roots. So we cleaned it out and it's now discharging clean water on a very regular basis (even when theres no rain for several days). Our sidewalk pretty much has a river running through it every day.
Not sure if the water table is just high here, or just do to clay soil holding the water, or if there is a leak in the system somewhere, or something else.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
