submersible pump runs constantly when running hose sprinkler

    my submersible pump runs constantly when I run my water hose sprinkler...settings are 40/60 psi...will this hurt my pump to run constantly when watering the lawn...otherwise it cycles on and off just fine

    It won't hurt it at all and just indicates you're moving enough water so that you're never hitting the 60psi cutout pressure. Actually excessive cycling is bad for a pump.
