Looking for some help please? Anyone able to assist with identifying what type of shower faucet this is? Contractor disappeared and we are trying to identify what type of cartridge to get for this shower. We really don't want to tear out the new Onyx to replace it but have been unable to identify and may have to go that route.

We were referred to a specialty plumbing store and they stated they believe it *could* be a Powers but they are not at all sure. It is only a guess based on the presence of shut-off valves seen at the water inlets. Aside from that detail, they have no other indication that it is Powers and they said the only way to find out would be to buy the parts (cartridge, handle, etc.) to see if they fit. (However, they will *not* take a return of any of these parts if water is run through them so fit is all we can test. We cannot turn it on to verify or we remove the opportunity to return it.)

Any ideas or recommendations on how to search? Thank you very much!
Kathy

Do you happen to have any other pieces to the faucet kicking around? Can you show us anything else in that plumbing setup??

A couple of thoughts on where I would look:

A. A lot of new faucet setups come with a sticker with the make/model # on it in the box. It's possible (but not likely) that the plumber put that up somewhere. Check any access panels around your tub/shower plumbing.

B. Check any contracts or invoices you may have from that Tradesperson... you never know, they might have itemized it.

Hope that helps.

Thanks all! Mystery solved! It is a Tuscany. Identified by taking one apart at Menards. We didn't have any boxes and had contracted for Moen or Delta but couldn't find a matching cartridge for those brands.

Many lessons learned on this one so far
