Stuck! Unsure of brand... cold water side not turning on

Please Help! My shower won't turn on.. only on the cold water side.

This building was built in 1990, and the plumbing has not been changed out as of yet. No clue what model/brand I have here.

I believe this is an issue with the stem? Something is stripped?

Anyway, I'm totally screwed tonight and can't take a shower...

The pictures do not show what we need to see in order to give an answer. we need a picture of the stem after it is removed, next to a ruler so we can tell its dimensions.
