Recently I had to call on Mr. Rooter for services. My toilet would not flush and sewer water was backing up into my tub and shower. After their service and inspection, I was told there was nothing blocking my sewer lines, that it was most likely a problem with the way the sewer line was laid and the line wasn’t flowing correctly. My options where to either re-do all the sewer lines in my house, which are laid in the foundation or replace the gut’s (The toilet hardware) in all toilets or purchase new toilets with all replacements being a stronger more forceful flush. The Plummer said there are no guaranties that a more forceful flush will help but it was cheaper then replace the line. The house is about 4 to 5 years old and this is the first time I’ve experience this problem. The Plummer sucked all the water out of the lines and they have been working fine for about a week. I need to make a decision on what to do next. I need to know what toilets would be best for me to buy to replace to ones I have and compare the strength of the flush to the part of the toilet if I just replaced the gut’s. Can you please advise me and provide me with some prices? If I need to replace them I want to buy the most forceful flushing product.

I would start with a second opinion by a company that doesn't have rooter in its name.

The widely scattered list you have sounds like a commission paid rooter company employee trying to fatten the wallet!

Sounds really fishy to me. If it happens again, get someone who has a camera and verify it. There's no way they could have determined that without one or digging the lines up to check visually.

No toilet has a flush that will overcome an improperly layed line with either a gully or backslope.
