strange kugler faucet problem

hello, we have a kugler kitchen faucet with a hose extension, the hose is screwed into the head of the faucet , the strange thing is , when you open the water knob fully, the water start to flow into the hose , then into the faucet head, and all you feel it stops, as if there is a safty that close the high pressure..
if you open the water slowly , the water flows (as far as you have the pressure low)
this was working before, and all of sudden stop acting up

any ideas on what to look for ?
