I installed a 32" Sterling tub with matching surround . The tub fits in with 1/2" to spare but the surround sticks out past the wall 3/4" therefore the matching surround is 1 1/4" bigger than the tub .There's enough lip to fasten to the wall but I'm not sure if its safe to cut the length top to bottom of the fiberglass lip without damaging the fiberglass finish . If not, I'll trim out the enclosure like a picture frame but I'd rather have it flush to the wall .
