I'm looking to connect a SS valve to a brass nipple.
Any downsides to SS valve for a outdoor applications that sees all 4 seasons.
Does it *sieze* up when in contact with brass ?

Hi Craig -

Yeah. I just realized that after posting. I just probably will swap the standard steel handle/retaining nut on it and that should be as weather proof/resistent as it gets

With either/both tape/pipe dope...I'd be surprised if you had any issues with SS on that connection. SS to SS is where we saw the most problems on military equipment.

There are a lot of different grades of stainless, Brass too.

And you probable do not want to see the price of the real good ones.

A good one should work with Good Brass just fine.

Low contract bidders / winners are normally the cause.
