Based on what i researched it shows i need a 32K softener, but thinking about a 42K. Thoughts?..........We use on average 6,000 gallons a month or 200 gallons a day, that is 2 adults 2 teenagers, an 8 and 2. Hardness is 240 ppm or 14 gpg. 2 full bathrooms but will have 3 full in a couple months. Those numbers keep pointing me to a 32K but it is worth it to go to a 42K. Thanks for any advice or additional questions

Don't use "32000" in a calculation. Consider it code for 1 cuft of resin.

You want, 1.5 (10x54 tank) or 2 cuft of resin. The marketers might call that 48k or 64k respectively.

1.5 cuft at 200 gpd will regen about every 8 or 9 days.
