Smelly shower drain after moving toilet flange

As part of a bathroom remodel we moved our toilet about 3 inches (45 degrees from previous placement), which has made the bathroom much more functional. However, the shower drain now stinks.. bad (its upstream of the toilet). When you flush the level of the p trap water in the shower goes up and then back down...

The toilet flange goes directly into a 3" sanitary tee... then runs through two 3" 22 degree fittings to move the few inches to get back to the 3 inch stack out... is this a venting issue or are the 22 degree fittings causing backflow due to flush volumes?

Any ideas on potentially helping the situation?

Dropping a toilet into a santee on it's back with the shower on the uphill side doesn't work.
The poop hits the bottom of the fitting and spreads out both ways, filling the uphill shower side. I've taken them out before. What a mess.

This was the original setup (pretty sure the shower was added after the fact);we just moved the toilet flange / santee (there are 2 x 22degree fittings shifting the 3 in pipe to hit the sani tee under the toilet now). I don't think there is enough space to use a combo wye ... would it be better to use a 90 into the toilet flange and tie the shower in down stream? Could probably handle a long sweep 90 (or sanitary tee with a cleanout)? Other ideas? The pipes are still accessible so aside from having to remove the toilet flange and re-reinstall, it's not out of the question to start over ... Thoughts? It's a struggle due to limited vertical space in the joist bay...

The shower should wye in downstream of the toilet. That way you can use a 90 for the toilet which directs things the proper direction.
The shower should also have had a vent before entering the line.
