Smelly Hot Water w/ Powered Anode Rod

What's the update on this situation? Did you solve the problem? What's any rod you removed look like? Pictures?
I never did solve it. I'm still using the powered anode rod. I might just go back to a regular aluminum/zinc anode rod when I do my next water heater flush. No issues with water smell when I used those.

What about OIL heater which is very common in NY as it heats water a lot faster then natural gas or electric
Never heard of an OIL water heater. This water heater is only a few years old, not looking to replace it anytime soon.
