Hello,

I have an extremely slow filling Gerber toilet. IT takes about 7 or 8 minutes to fill the tank and bowl. I just installed it at our cottage. I unstalled a new float assembly. The supply line is old galvanized so I suspect that might be the problem with the supply line.

Please advise!

Thanks!

If it's galvinzed pipe supplying the water it maybe rust or debris reducing the water supply line or the fill valve.

Either a big glob of gunk has plugged your new fill valve, or the supply line is plugged, or the stop valve is plugged, or the galvy pipe is plugged.

You have to to try to isolate where the flow restriction is using a scientific approach: Start disconnecting things one at a time, starting at one end or the other until you find the restriction.
