So, my fancy bathroom sink started leaking the other day. The leak originally was on the left hand side, where you can see the salts accumulation from the water trickling down (picture 1). I tried to unscrew the pipes but then I realized I didn't have the first idea about what I was doing and I stopped. I have never done any plumbing work. Can you guys help me fix this?

Wow. That's a bottle trap, but I don't see anyway to make adjustments for that. Normally I would see slip joints that allow for assembling it and adjustments.
