Hi, new here and although I read many posts on this topis, I want to make sure my approach is right.
I am replacing a single vanity with a double. The single had a vent running up to the roof and the drain doing a loop in the floor (similar to the original drain). Note that I removed the toiler that drained into the 3" (and the upstream vent connection). My city is based on IPC.
So the question is, what is the best drain and vent setup or the least holes in studs method? Option 1, 2 or something else?
Original plumbing:
Options I am considering:
or
I also thought of this but it feels non-compliant or not a good idea:
Actually I came up with what I think is the easiest (option 4):
Any problems with the above? This would reuse part of the existing drain (black lines).
Any feedback is appreciated.
(i am doing a full remodel of my master bathroom, so I will also ask about shower drain & vent in another post).
Thanks!
