I've been debating installing an ozone system for treating my water (not AIO3) to treat H2S and bacteria. The bacteria isn't harmful to health, but the slime fouls my catalytic carbon filter. I've tried chlorine, and I don't care for the water.
When I do the math, I'm not certain I can get enough ozone into the water during a pump cycle to treat the H2S and the bacteria. My plan was to draw in the ozone using a venturi. I have to make a decision. Do I upgrade the ozone generator to try and get higher concentrations of O3 into the line, or do I go with a lower cost ozone generators, but use a recirculation system to get the extra ozone in the system? In one scenario I'm putting more money into the ozone generator, and in another I'm adding complexity by adding a pump to my system that doesn't currently exist.
I can't find much DIY advice on the internet with regards to Ozone treatment of well water. Is this the best forum?
