Single Lever Shower Cartridge/Handle Problem

Hey Guys-

We have an apartment complex with single lever Gerber type cartridges. The problem is that tenants over-rotate the shower handle and break the plastic piece stopper at the top of the cartridge. The tenant then has to very carefully balance the handle to stop it from dripping. Gerber doesn't make a cartridge with a metal stopper.

We are willing to swap everything out with a new handle/new cartridge. Any recs on a replacement that will work better? We have a couple hundred of these.

see if they make a "round" handle for it so they do not have so much leverage. What you have for a cartridge is more than likely ALL you will ever find.
