On a 4" CI san tee, there is a side inlet which is from the lav and tub. I plan to replace the galvanized pipe with plastic...but the question is, how to seal the new pipe in the tee?

Fernco support told me that their donuts are only made for the hub end of CI pipes, and that this may or may not work going into this side inlet

What options to I have to be able to replace the galvanized, but without replacing any of the CI?

Thanks!!

Measure the diameter of the hub you're going into and compare that to the ferncos.

they make 2 version of the fernco donut. Regular and heavy duty. One of them will work even if you have to shave one down or use additional sealing comp0und to help. Hercules Griip is your friend in this situation

Tru,
What did you end up doing? I'm in a similar situation with a 2" galvanized shower drain going to the stack. Been reading some folks had trouble finding a donut that works.
