Hey Im remodeling one of our small ranch bathrooms It has a tub with tile surround and My wife wants a deeper tub than cast comes in, the cast one is about 10" to the overflow and the lowest arcrylic we found was a kohler Archer that is 19 inchs high, the old floor is mud with tile so that should help since Im tiling over it Im thinking that will make the tub about 17" higher than the bathroom floor.
My question is do you guys think this will be too high or annoying to step over on a daily basis for showering or, no big deal? its hard for me to imagine
Thanks

Mine is also 19" - I don't find it a problem, but I'm 6'2". Guests haven't complained, but I'm not sure they would. Just set up a board between two supports at that height and have everyone step over it.

I did install a grab bar on the wall that I find convenient to hang onto while stepping in, but I used it for a couple of years before I put it in. I did it so when my 82 year old father visited, he'd have something to hang onto. Now that it is there, I find it useful, but not necessary.
