We recently renovated our bathroom shower and re-tiled the shower enclosure. We did not need to re-plumb or replace any of the shower components but when the job was completed and we used the shower, the hot and cold water were reversed. We have a Moen one-faucet shower, no idea on the model number. Any suggestions?

Did you take the cartridge out? It might be installed backwards. My unprofessional opinon.

Were any water pipes anywhere repiped for any reason. You can try reversing the cartridge and see what happens. Someone may have without you knowing it.

Moen

If it is the pull on/push off Moen valve, then the inner rotating stem has to be rotated 180 degrees after removing the handle. DO NOT turn the water off and remove or rotate the outer cartridge.

Thanks, HJ.

We followed your directions exactly, and it worked like a charm.

Thanks from Canada and Happy Holidays.
