Greetings!
After installing my Schluter shower pan, I discovered that my Schluter drain flange won’t seat flush with my ABS drain:
there’s a 1/4” gap all around.
Coupling in a new pipe isn’t really an option for reasons of space. Is this a deal-breaker, or can I get away with it? I haven’t set the drain, yet. Can’t seem to upload a photo, but will keep trying.
If not, are there easy, acceptable solutions like using Kerdi-fix inside the pipe to fill the gap? Starting to stress out a bit over this and it’s holding up my project.
Any and all advice would be most sincerely appreciated.
Thanks, in advance.

To upload a photo, 900 pixels max height or width.
200 KB max. Smaller OK.

I may not understand what you are seeing. Is your gap horizontal or vertical? This may or may not apply:

Drain pipe should measure 2.375 (2-3/8) OD. (nominal 2 inch)

I think a bushing could convert a 1.90 inch OD (nominal 1-1/2 inch) pipe to fit a 2-inch fitting. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Charlot...-x-Hub-Flush-Bushing-ABS001070800HD/313834595

Thanks for your reply.
It’s a vertical gap between the top of the ABS drain pipe and the bottom of the 1” deep receiving end of the drain flange. Will keep working on the picture situation.

That looks weird, how does that supposed to seal to make a watertight connection?

Schluter system need to follow schluter specific instructions kinda hard to tell but shower pans are important and typically require a leak test im sure thier are videos for you to follow

Are there secondary "weep holes" around the drain? There are so many proprietary designs for shower drains you'll have to consult the manufacturer. It looks upside down to me.
