We often see a variety of seats used in showers. The shape of the floor is one of the biggest limitations to what can be used. Most of what we see are plastic seats on aluminum frames because they are light weight and can be moved in or out easily. Some are made of teak. Some are bolted directly to the wall structure if the structure can support the weight and those seats often fold up and out of the way.
