Show drain flange broken

We bought a condo two years ago, recently the neighbor downstairs found there is water dipping on the ceiling, I removed the strainer from the drain hole and found the drain flange is broken, my question is that is it possible to use sealant to seal the broken edge? if not, can I remove the broken part and put a new one without torn the ceiling downstairs? the leaking is in the corridor not inside neighbor's home. we have two bathrooms, and stopped using this shower for now. Thanks!

Try using Hercules propoxy

When mixing it use water t make it more pliable and it will allow you to work with it for about 6 minutes and allow it r to set over night

Look at the Wingtite drain. It installs from inside of the shower without going beneath.
