We bought a condo two years ago, recently the neighbor downstairs found there is water dipping on the ceiling, I removed the strainer from the drain hole and found the drain flange is broken, my question is that is it possible to use sealant to seal the broken edge? if not, can I remove the broken part and put a new one without torn the ceiling downstairs? the leaking is in the corridor not inside neighbor's home. we have two bathrooms, and stopped using this shower for now. Thanks!

Thank you very much for the quick reply, I will give it try. I have another question, can it be removed after if by any chance I change the drain? Thanks!
